The Maroscher/Frantz Team at AWPC Worlds
July 31-August 1, 2004 in Lincolnwood, IL

Eric Stone and Sharra Powell of the Maroscher Powerlifting Team competed at
AWPC Worlds in Lincolnwood, IL.  Both Eric and Sharra won at AAPF Nationals in March in Vegas, earning them an invite to AWPC Worlds.  For Sharra, she was back to defend her crown from last year in Saco, Maine.  For Eric, he was back at Worlds after winning in the teenage division in 2002 in Georgia.

Eric posted a personal best on the squat with 573 pounds, breaking AAPF and AWPC records in the Juinor *and* Open divisions.  He was strong on the bench press as well, pressing a meet PR of 358 on his 3rd.  That one felt so light, he did an all-time (gym or meet) PR of 369 on a fourth for a AAPF and AWPC records in the Junior division.  Stone finished off his day with a 440 pound deadlift for an all-time best total 1372, which also broke AAPF and AWPC records.  He just missed a 473 pound deadlift on his third, narrowly missing that ellusive 1400 pound total.  Eric took 1st place in the 165 open class.

Sharra was only able to manage her opener of 385 on the squat, having some depth problems on her next two.  She left alot in the tank on squats, once she gets things dialed in, 500 is right around the corner for her.  Despite her slower start, Sharra really got moving on the bench and deadlift.  She shot up a PR bench of 192 pounds, earning her submaster AAPF and AWPC records.  She also pulled an easy deadlift PR of 365 pounds, tieing her PR total despite not having her big squat to push it up.  Sharra took 1st place in the 148 open women's class.
