And now onto the Frantz master lifters:
Kirby Anderson competed in the AAPF Master 65-69 148 class, winning 1st place. Kirby squatted 253 lbs, benched 192 lbs, and deadlifted 264 lbs for a 710 lb total. Kirby was closely coached by Sidney Thoms.
Bob Kelly competed in the APF Master 45-49 220 class. Despite injuring his leg during the squat, Bob was still able to finish the meet and win 1st place. Bob squatted 562 lbs, benched 330 lbs, and deadlifted 440 lbs for a 1334 lb total. Bob also volunteered his time on Saturday to judge all day.
Steve Crane competed in the AAPF Master 40-44 as well as APF Open 220 class. Despite an injury the week of the meet, Steve still came and competed taking a token squat and deadlift, winning 1st place in the AAPF Master and 4th place in the APF Open. Steve did token lifts of a 220 lb squat and 374 lb deadlift, and did a 407 lb bench press for State and American records, totaling 1003 lbs.
