Now we take a look at the big boys in the Open class:
Corey Akers looked very strong as he won 1st place in the very competitive APF Open 220 class. Corey is another trainee of Dick Zenzen. He squatted 733 lbs, benched 534 lbs, and deadlifted 639 lbs for a 1906 lb total. With his big total, Corey won the Best Lifter award in the APF Open.
Jason Visny competed in his first "real" meet in the AAPF Open 242 class, taking home 3rd place. Jason squatted 617 lbs, benched 385, and deadlifted 512 lbs for a 1515 lb total. Good work for a first meet!
Finally, big Pete Arroyo won 1st place in the APF Open 275 class. Pete squatted 705 lbs, benched 462 lbs, and deadlifted 573 lbs for a 1741 lb total.
