Greetings! Some of you may already know me, I'm Ryan Brault's prettier half. I have been keeping a training log on another site for over a year, however I thought it would be good to also keep a record here because you all are the guys who see me at the gym. I thought this would be a good place to get feedback from those who know me and have seen me lift.
Currently I am getting ready for the Summer Bash in June. I'm doing a routine that Ryan designed adn so far I think things are going well. Below is yesterday's workout.

5-3-06

Chest/Tri's

Flat BB Bench
6x65 warm up
4x75 warm up
4x95
4x95
4x95
4x95

Flat close grip bench
3x90
3x90

Rack Presses
4x115
4x115

Assisted Tricep Dips
7xBW-30
6xBW-30

I may start keeping a journal on here, as well. I've got an extensive journal that can already be viewed on www.wannabebig.com under "Guido's Journal". We're both pretty religious about keeping our training journals up to date, and are always open to advice from experienced lifters such as many Illini Powerlifters.

Workout 5-6-06

Back

Deadlift
6x135 Warm up
4x185
2x205
2x225
2x255
2x255

Deads of Blocks
2x195
2x195

T-Bar Row
8x70
8x70

Lat Pulldown (underhand grip)
4x135
4x135

BB Shrugs
6x155
6x155

Abs
Weighted Decline Crunches
25xBW+35

Comments: During last week's back work we did not do deads, we did good mornings instead, so I felt very fresh and rested for this session. It was a doozy, as Ryan predicted it would be, however I felt good and was able to complete all the deads. Deadlift is by far my favorite of the big three powerlifts.

1x265
1x275 (+5)

Rack Pulls (just above knee)

Comments: This workout was tough, however the 275 lb. deadlift is better than the 270 I did at the Collinsville meet last month. The hammer curls were in there for some general fun.

Flat BB Bench
6x65 warm up
4x75 warm up
2x95
2x105
2x105

Flat close grip bench

5x40's

Tricep Cable Pressdowns
5x120 (+10)
4x120

Standing BB Millitary Press
5x60
5x60

Comments: I loved having IMPE to ourselves today, although it was strange not seeing the usual cast of characters in the gym. I always look for the lady who does a million curls with a 3 lb. dumbell, or the guy who always wears the same shorts and looks super pissed off. Watching them and others brings another layer of entertainment to the IMPE experience.
